Founded in 1940, Tonica is the oldest harmoniorkester (symphonic wind band) in Aarhus. We are about 45 amateur musicians who enjoy playing music of different style and give about six to eight concerts per year. The most important event is certainly our New Year’s Concert in Aarhus Concert Hall, with more than 1000 audience. It’s counterpoint is our traditional Vienna Concert in the town hall with young dancers from Aarhus ballet academy.
